Sam Hewamanage

Sam Hewamanage, Ph.D., serves as the Enterprise Architecture Lead focusing on Data, Analytics, and AI at Mars since December 2018, where key achievements include implementing a Data Mesh-ready factory model on Snowflake and leading cross-segment MLOps practices. Prior experiences encompass roles including Head of Data Engineering at Mars, Lead Data Engineer at Sears Holdings, and Research Assistant Professor at Northwestern University, with a strong foundation in data engineering, cloud solutions, and advanced analytics. Educational credentials include a Ph.D. in Physics from Baylor University, an MS in Physics from the University of Cincinnati, and a BSc in Physics from the University of Colombo.
