Tara Handy

Tara Handy is an accomplished communications professional with extensive experience in corporate and internal communications across various industries. Currently serving as Senior Director of Internal Communications and Community Engagement at Mars since September 2024, Tara previously held the role of Global Head of Talent Communications at Wayfair, where creative strategies were developed for a workforce of over 16,000. Prior positions include Vice President of Communications at Stanley Black & Decker, where strategic communication efforts for a new business segment were led, and Director of Corporate Communications and Programs at The Wills Group, where an inaugural communications function was established. With a foundation in strategic media relations at McDonald's, Tara has a robust background in enhancing brand reputation and engaging diverse stakeholders. Tara holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing from Hampton University, obtained in 1998.
