Alea Larocque

Divisional Vice President, Business Development at WHSmith North America

Alea LaRocque has a diverse background with experience in various industries. Starting in 2009, they worked as a Communications & Marketing Intern at the Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce, where they managed news releases and social media for events. From 2010 to 2012, they served as a Marketing Assistant at the Missouri State University Small Business and Technology Development Center, coordinating the Feasibility Study program and providing marketing support. In 2012, Alea joined the Denver Metro Small Business Development Center (SBDC) as an Assistant Director, where they provided strategic direction and support for entrepreneurs. Alea also held the role of Marketing & Program Coordinator at the Denver Metro SBDC, creating and implementing marketing strategies. In 2016, they became the Director of Business Development at Mission Yogurt, Inc., focusing on food and beverage concepts in high traffic airports. In 2019, Alea took on the role of Co-Owner at Juniper Mountain House, a boutique hotel and event space in Colorado. Currently, they are serving as the Divisional Vice President of Business Development at WHSmith North America, working on developing unique retail store concepts in airports and casino-resorts.

Alea LaRocque completed their education at Missouri State University. From 2007 to 2010, they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Management with a focus on Human Resources. Later, from 2010 to 2012, they obtained a Master of Business Administration degree from the same institution.
