Major Alston

Major Alston currently serves as Vice President and Chief Development Officer at Marshall University Foundation Inc. since November 2024. Prior to this role, Major Alston worked at Ohio University as Senior Associate Vice President of Advancement & Campaign Director from August 2018 to October 2024, and at the University of Cincinnati as Assistant Vice President of Regional Development between January 2016 and August 2018. Significant earlier experience includes serving as Director of Development at the University of South Florida from December 2009 to November 2015 and as Field Director for the Boy Scouts of America in Central Florida from March 1997 to December 2009. Major Alston's military service was with the US Navy from June 1987 to May 1991. Educational credentials include a Master of Public Administration in Non-Profit/Public/Organizational Management and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, both obtained from the University of South Florida.
