Sushma Thappeta M.D.

Sushma Thappeta MD, MBA, CPE, FAAP is the Vice President of Medical Affairs at Marshfield Clinic Health System, specializing in pediatric care since July 2006. Sushma directs operational activities at Marshfield Children's, managing a comprehensive range of pediatric services, including intensive care units and outpatient programs. As Pediatric Service Line Medical Director, Sushma oversees pediatricians across nine regional hospitals. Sushma's extensive experience includes roles such as Medical Director of the Pediatric Inpatient Unit and Assistant Service Line Director of Pediatrics, where Sushma has implemented efficient physician management and urgent consultation access. Additionally, Sushma has contributed as key faculty for the Pediatric Residency Program at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and has a solid educational background with an MBA in Health Care Administration and an MD in Pediatrics.
