Gabriela Gutowski Hammack is a seasoned professional in architectural history and historic preservation. Currently serving as a Senior Architectural Historian at Marstel-Day, LLC since February 2023, Gabriela has amassed extensive experience in the field, previously holding roles such as Historic Preservation Specialist at the DC Office of Planning from July 2016 to August 2019, and Senior Landmarks Preservationist at the New York City Landmarks Preservation Commission from November 2007 to July 2016. Gabriela began a career in urban planning at The City of Alexandria, Virginia, and later gained valuable experience as an architectural survey intern at EHT Traceries Inc. and as an intern at Martinez and Johnson Architecture. Educational credentials include a B.S. in Architectural History from the University of Virginia and an M.S. in Historic Preservation from the University of Pennsylvania.
