Shannon Eggen is an experienced archaeological professional currently serving as an Archaeological Field Technician at Marstel-Day, LLC since June 2023. Prior to this role, Shannon worked as an Archaeological Fellow at the William & Mary Center for Archaeological Research, focusing on the Underground Railroad in Virginia and participating in a Phase I survey on campus. Previous positions include an Archaeology Technician at Stantec and a Field Archaeologist at Longwood Institute of Archaeology, where Shannon conducted Phase I investigations and co-authored an archaeological site report. Shannon has also completed an archaeological field school and obtained a Master’s degree in Anthropology with a concentration in Historical Archaeology from William & Mary, along with dual Bachelor’s degrees in Anthropology and Archaeology, and History from Longwood University.
