Allison Pearce has a range of experience in the field of early childhood education and developmental therapy. Allison began their career in 2013 as a Developmental Specialist at Harbor Area Early Intervention, providing therapy services to infants and toddlers with developmental delays. Allison then moved on to Care Resources in 2015, where they worked as an Infant and Toddler Special Educator. In this role, they focused on providing in-home therapy to children with special needs and developmental delays. Since 2017, they have been working as a Head Start Preschool Teacher at Martha's Vineyard Community Services.
Allison Pearce received their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Interdisciplinary Liberal Studies from James Madison University in 2013. Allison then pursued a Masters of Teaching degree in Education/Teaching of Individuals in Early Childhood Special Education Programs at James Madison University Graduate School, completing the program in 2013 as well. In June 2013, they obtained a Commonwealth of Virginia Early Childhood Special Education Teaching License from the Virginia Department of Education.

Our mission is to enhance the lives of those it serves by meeting the comprehensive needs of individuals, families, and the community through a partnership of programs that provides accessible education and health and human services of the highest quality. MVCS is comprised of six core programs: 1) CONNECT to end violence 2) Disability Services 3) Early Childhood Programs 4) Island Counseling Center 5) Island Wide Youth Collaborative 6) The Thrift Shop
