Martha's Vineyard Community Services
Ruby Reimann has a diverse background in volunteerism and education, with experience mentoring elementary school girls at Rosati Leadership Academy from December 2022 to January 2024, where Ruby focused on increasing female representation and promoting cultural inclusion in soccer. As a Teaching Assistant Advocate at Martha's Vineyard Community Services from May 2023 to August 2023, Ruby advocated for youth experiencing trauma, working closely with 15 children. Ruby also contributed to mental health resource development during a brief tenure as a Lewiston Housing Volunteer at Auburn-Lewiston YMCA in May 2023. Previous roles include serving as a server at Dos Mas and assisting a fourth-grade classroom at Robert V Connors Elementary School, where Ruby engaged with Somali culture. Currently, Ruby is pursuing a degree at Bates College and plans to study abroad through IES Abroad in early 2024.

Our mission is to enhance the lives of those it serves by meeting the comprehensive needs of individuals, families, and the community through a partnership of programs that provides accessible education and health and human services of the highest quality. MVCS is comprised of six core programs: 1) CONNECT to end violence 2) Disability Services 3) Early Childhood Programs 4) Island Counseling Center 5) Island Wide Youth Collaborative 6) The Thrift Shop
