Marissa Steel

Marissa Steel is an experienced Emergency Room Nurse with a comprehensive background in high-acuity patient care across several healthcare facilities. Currently serving as an Emergency Room Staff RN at Martha's Vineyard Hospital since June 2020, Marissa utilizes critical thinking to stabilize trauma patients and coordinate their transportation for higher-level care. Previous roles include working as a Registered Nurse at Mass General Hospital, focusing on Covid-19 patient management, and as an Emergency Room Nurse at Kaiser Permanente and Desert Springs Hospital Medical Center. Marissa also contributed to the startup of Maricopa Integrated Health System's new ER at MaryVale Hospital, where responsibilities included organizing workflow and troubleshooting. Marissa's foundational experience began at Lawrence and Memorial Hospital, providing emergency care and actively advocating for patients. Marissa holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from the University of South Florida.
