Andrew Mueller has over 12 years of work experience in the data science field. In 2009, they started as a Statistical Analyst at Penn, Schoen & Berland Associates, where they created classification algorithms for survey respondent segment prediction, conducted political research modeling, segmentation modeling, factor and cluster analysis of survey datasets, and designed and estimated hierarchical Bayesian models. In 2007, they were a Graduate Assistant at the University of Cincinnati. In 2012, they became Senior Manager, Research and Development at ThinkVine. In 2013, they moved to Nielsen as a Senior Technical Specialist, Global R&D. In 2015, they joined Ignite Technologies as a Data Scientist, R&D, where they designed and developed big data and machine learning solutions for Ignite products, converted statistical and database software to distributed computing environments, and delivered innovative solutions to enterprise software problems using data science and big data. In 2017, they were Executive Director, Analytic Solutions at The NPD Group. Since 2019, they have been Lead Data Scientist at Martin, now part of PubMatic, where they are part of the development team for Martin, a new adtech platform built from the ground up handling tens of billions of requests of per day. Andrew is also the lead developer of Martin data management platform, which handles audience ingestion, statistical modeling, and execution of automated real time randomized control trials against customer campaigns. Andrew has also developed Martin experimental features including Ghost Bidding, a methodology for automating experimentation on active campaigns.
Andrew Mueller attended the University of Cincinnati from 2004 to 2009, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics in 2007 and a Master of Arts in Economics in 2009.
