Amy Heimberger Lopez

Amy Heimberger Lopez, CEM, FPEM, currently serves as the Emergency Management Coordinator for Martin County Fire Rescue since May 2021. Prior experience includes holding the position of Emergency Management Specialist II at Palm Beach County from February 2019 to May 2021, where responsibilities encompassed managing substantial emergency management grants, updating various incident plans, and ensuring compliance with federal contracts. Amy also worked as an Emergency Preparedness Planner with JH Consulting, LLC, where development of Hazard Mitigation Plans and conducting exercises for schools were key duties. Previous roles encompass positions as a CAD Technician and Telecommunications Designer at Dewberry, as well as serving as a Community Health Volunteer with the Peace Corps in Paraguay. Academically, Amy holds a Bachelor’s degree in Architectural Technologies from Boston Architectural College and a Master’s degree in Emergency Management from Millersville University of Pennsylvania.
