Maxine Anderson, MD is the Director of Perioperative Services for Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Hospital where she is responsible for the design, implementation, and coordination of surgical services including pre-operative, operating room, and anesthesia services. She is also responsible for planning and organizing activities within the surgical department where she works closely with other physicians, technicians, and the nursing staff to ensure exceptional patient outcomes.
Prior to joining Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Hospital, Dr. Anderson was a staff physician at Pacific Hospital of Long Beach and the assistant chairman of surgery at St. Francis Medical Center in Lynwood, California. She received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Adelphi University in New Jersey, and her medical degree from the UCLA/Drew Medical School in Los Angeles. She is an American Board of Surgery Diplomate. Dr. Anderson is a certified provider in both Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Trauma Life Support.
