Daniel McCrone

Daniel McCrone has over 30 years of experience in the healthcare industry. daniel has held various leadership positions throughout their career, including roles as Medical Director, Chief Medical Officer, and Vice President. McCrone has worked for several prominent healthcare organizations such as Martin's Point Health Care, Physicians Health Plan of Northern Indiana (PHP), New Century Health, Blue Cross and Blue Shield, Express Scripts, Alere Inc., Coventry Health Care, Empire BCBS of New York, George Washington University Health Plan, and CareFirst.

In their most recent role at Martin's Point Health Care, McCrone served as the Health Plan Medical Director. daniel was responsible for overseeing the area insurance provider to the Department of Defense and managing their successful Medicare Advantage program.

Prior to this, McCrone served as the Medical Director for Physicians Health Plan of Northern Indiana (PHP), where they provided medical leadership and expertise.

As the Chief Medical Officer at New Century Health, McCrone led a team that focused on medical quality improvement in the areas of Oncology and Cardiology. daniel successfully generated multi-million dollar savings for the company and its insurer customers, primarily Humana.

During their tenure at Blue Cross and Blue Shield, McCrone managed the oncology program from a medical perspective and was involved in various aspects of case management and oncology pharmacy.

At Express Scripts, McCrone held the position of Vice President Oncology, where they played a key role in the management of the company's oncology services.

Before that, McCrone served as the Medical Director, Chief Medical Officer, and Chief Executive Officer Quality Oncology at Alere Inc. daniel was responsible for providing medical and executive leadership in the field of oncology.

McCrone also held leadership positions at Coventry Health Care, Empire BCBS of New York, George Washington University Health Plan, and CareFirst. In these roles, they oversaw various aspects of healthcare management, including utilization management, quality improvement, hospital contracting, and provider services.

Daniel McCrone attended The Ohio State University College of Medicine from 1973 to 1976, where they obtained a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree and became licensed in Ohio in 1976. daniel then pursued further education and training in the field of Internal Medicine, completing a residency from 1976 to 1979. Following that, they specialized in Hematology-Oncology through a fellowship program from 1979 to 1981.
