Matias Francois

Matias Francois has worked as a Machine Learning Engineer at Marvik since February 2022. Prior to that, they worked as a Quantitative Developer at AlmaFintech from October 2021 to February 2022. At AlmaFintech, they designed and developed an algorithmic trading robot using React and Golang, which was deployed to the Argentinian market in December 2021. Matias also worked on optimizing the robot with concurrent programming, leading to a three times improvement in response time.

Matias Francois began their education in 2013 at Escuela Industrial Superior - UNL, where they obtained a degree in Mechanical-Electric Technician in 2016. Matias then enrolled in Universidad Nacional de Córdoba from 2015 to 2017 to pursue a degree in Entrenamiento Olimpíadas Iberoamericanas e Internacionales de Física.

In 2017, Matias continued their studies at Universidad Tecnológica Nacional for a year, focusing on Electronic Engineering. Subsequently, from 2018 to 2022, they attended Instituto Tecnológico de Buenos Aires, where they pursued a degree in Electronic Engineering with a specialization in Signal Processing.

In addition to their formal education, Matias has acquired several certifications. Matias completed a course in Front End Libraries at freeCodeCamp in July 2021 and acquired a certification in Machine Learning with Python from IBM during the same month. In June 2021, they obtained a certification in APIs and Microservices from freeCodeCamp, along with a certification in Python for Data Science from IBM. In May 2021, Matias earned a certification in JavaScript Algorithms and Data Structures from freeCodeCamp. Furthermore, they completed a course in Desarrollo de Apps Móviles through Google Actívate in April 2021. Additionally, Matias attained a score of 130 on the Duolingo English Test in November 2020.
