Mario Maciel, Vice President of Construction at the Marx|Okubo San Francisco office, evaluates client needs and provides the best approach to project execution. He also reviews staff deployment and performance to optimize client service while providing national integration and coordination of project and construction management services.
He has more than 35 years of experience in program management, construction, construction management, project management, and executive and operations management. Previously, while working as the global head of cost management for Google, he refined the cost management process as an enhancement to the project management approach in place. He has managed data center projects in a project and cost management role. As Vice President, Project Executive, and Project Principal at Harris and Associates, he worked to complete numerous infrastructure projects, such as highways, wastewater plant expansion projects, and municipal projects. He has also managed building projects including John Muir Hospital -Concord, John Muir Hospital - Walnut Creek, Catholic Healthcare West’s Mercy Merced Hospital and MOB Merced, as well as construction management work for the Federal Highway Administration. His experience includes estimating and risk management on major projects for tech and pharmaceutical clients.
