Maurizio Ghisoli

Physician Investigator at Mary Crowley Cancer Research Centers

Dr. Maurizio Ghisoli is board certified in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology and specializes in pediatric hematology/oncology and stem cell transplantation, with a special interest in solid tumors (sarcomas of the bone and muscle), leukemia and lymphomas, and hematologic disorders including coagulopathies, thrombophilia, sickle cell disease, and other hereditary red blood cell disorders. He is a member of Texas Oncology, P.A., in their pediatric hematology and oncology group, along with the American Society of Hematology, Pediatric Hematology-Oncology, Clinical Oncology, The American Society of Pediatrics and the American Medical Association.

Prior to completing his fellowship in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas, and his internship and residency in Pediatrics at A&M University, Driscoll Children’s Hospital, in Corpus Christi, Texas, Dr. Ghisoli received his Medical Doctorate from the Central University of Venezuela, in Caracas, Venezuela. Dr. Ghisoli has received several awards in his career, with the most recent being the ASPHO Young Investigator Stipend Award, and the ASH Young Investigator Travel Award.
