It might not be obvious from the outside, but women in leadership positions are under great pressure. Research by McKinsey and the Lean In foundation in November 2020 found that 1 in 4 women are contemplating what many would have considered unthinkable less than a year ago: downshifting their careers or leaving the workforce.

This comes at a time when organisations are becoming more aware of the criticial need for diverse perspectives in decision making. I'm not going to persuade you of the benefits, but perhaps you might like to look up the work by McKinsey, the Financial Times, and the Said School of Business at Oxford to name a few.
