Melissa Meitz, MPH has a diverse work experience in various organizations. Melissa is currently the Director of Referral Development and Marketing at Mary Free Bed Rehabilitation Hospital, where they lead a team in managing the hospital's voice, brand, marketing strategy, and plans. Previously, they served as the Director of Outpatient Referral Development, connecting referring physicians with clinicians at Mary Free Bed to enhance patient access to rehabilitation services. Melissa also worked as a Program Director, overseeing program operations, and as a Program Manager for Outpatient Services, responsible for budgeting, finances, and strategy.
In addition to their roles at Mary Free Bed, Melissa served as an Adjunct Professor at Grand Valley State University, teaching in the Allied Health Sciences Program. Melissa also worked at Priority Health as a Senior Product Manager.
Prior to that, they worked as a Primary Investigator at both Mary Free Bed and Grand Valley State University. Melissa'searlier experience includes roles such as Senior Outpatient Physician Liaison and Communications & External Relations Specialist at Mary Free Bed Rehabilitation Hospital, as well as Donor Relations Specialist at Michigan Blood. Melissa also served as Co-Manager at Bath and Body Works and gained experience as a Public Relations Intern at the Michigan State Medical Society.
Melissa Meitz, MPH completed their B.S. in Health Communications at Grand Valley State University from 2004 to 2007. Subsequently, they pursued their Masters in Public Health, with a focus on Public Health Education and Promotion, from 2014 to 2017 at the same institution.
