Sarah Barker Cfre

Sarah Barker, CFRE, has a diverse and extensive work experience in the fields of development, community relations, and finance. Sarah is currently the Director of Development & Community Relations at Pennybyrn, where they oversee all fundraising efforts and maintains relationships with stakeholders. Prior to that, they served as the Associate Director of Development & Public Relations at Brightspire, where they developed relationships, coordinated donor events, and handled public relations activities. Sarah also worked as a Community Relations Officer at High Point Bank, where they built and maintained positive relationships with the public and managed the bank's charitable budget. Sarah has experience in the nonprofit sector as well, having served as the Director of Major Gifts, Leadership Giving & Donor Relations at United Way of Greater High Point, and as a Finance Specialist at United Way of Greater Greensboro. In addition, Sarah has a background in sales and management, having held positions at Magnolia Graphics, where they led the collections department and served as the National Sales Manager. With their broad range of experience and expertise, Sarah Barker is well-equipped to excel in their current role and make a significant impact in the organizations they work for.

Sarah Barker, CFRE, obtained their Associate of Arts (A.A.) degree in English Language and Literature from Haywood Community College, where they attended from 1995 to 1997. In July 2020, they earned their CFRE Certification from CFRE International.
