Alexandra Jade Adalbert (preferred name Jade) is a Primary Therapist at Maryland Addiction Recovery Center. Jade was born and raised in the mountains outside of Seattle, Washington, and received her education attending the University of British Columbia in nearby Vancouver, Canada. At University, she conducted behavioral neuroscience research in the Neural Circuits and Cognition Laboratory as we as clinical research in the Centre for Gambling Research. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at the University of British Columbia, where her passion for addiction and recovery ignited- especially in low-barrier settings. Jade also volunteered at the Vancouver Recovery Club in 2017 and has been working in the addiction and recovery field ever since. She left the Pacific Northwest to attend Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, where she earned her Master of Science degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. She has worked in community-based and residential addiction treatment settings, as well as community-based mental health programs.
