Stephanie Wall

Chief of Staff & Special Projects at Howard Community College

Stephanie Wall holds the position of Chief of Staff & Special Projects. She joined the college on April 14, 2023. In this role, she supports both the president and the board of trustees. Ms. Wall serves as the board liaison to the college and is a member of the president’s team. Additionally, she works with college faculty and staff on issues originating from both the board and the president.

Before becoming a member of Howard Community College, Ms. Wall worked as a strategic outreach coordinator for the Office of the County Executive in Howard County Government. Her responsibilities included working with other leaders, department heads, county staff, civic organizations, and community leaders to execute the county executive's strategic plans and initiatives. Additionally, she assisted the county executive at events and represented him at other events.

Ms. Wall, who has 20 years of law enforcement experience, was the commander of the Community Outreach Division and Mental Health Section at the Howard County Police Department. In that role, she led 22 sworn personnel and four civilians and was responsible for duties such as policy guidance, budget management, and developing community relationships to address concerns.

Currently, Ms. Wall teaches criminal justice, security management, ethical behavior, and administration courses as an associate adjunct professor at the University of Maryland Global Campus. She received her Bachelor's and Master of Science in management with a focus on leadership from Johns Hopkins University.
