Jellema A. Stewart has a strong background in diversity and inclusion work within educational institutions. From 2017 to present, they worked as the Director of Culture and Identity at the Maryland Institute College of Art, where they developed and implemented strategic plans to increase diversity and inclusion within the community. Jellema A. also provided individual consultations for students on various issues and worked to infuse diversity and inclusion into existing curricula. Prior to this role, from 2012 to 2016, they served as the Director of Multicultural Affairs at the State University of New York at Fredonia. Additionally, from 2009 to 2012, they worked as the Community Hall Director for Residence Life at the State University of New York College at Buffalo.
