Nate Larson is an accomplished photographer and documentarian, currently serving as the Photography Area Head, Professor, and Chair of the Photography Department at the Maryland Institute College of Art since July 2009. Larson also operates Nate Larson Studio, focusing on long-term photographic projects that explore the intersections of geography and community while collaborating with various organizations and institutions. Previous experience includes roles on the Programming Advisory Committee at Maryland Art Place and as a board member for the Society for Photographic Education. Educational credentials include an MFA in Photography from The Ohio State University and graduate coursework in Art History, Theory, and Criticism at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.
