Brian Lewandowski, PE, serves as an Engineer and Project Manager at Montgomery County Parks Department since August 2009, overseeing park facility development and renovation across over 24,000 acres and 420 parks, managing multi-million dollar Capital Funded Improvement projects. As a Professional Civil Engineer with the Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission since February 2001, Brian specializes in various areas including project and construction management, stormwater management, and environmental planning. Previously, as a Senior Project Engineer at GLW, PA from June 1995 to May 2009, Brian managed and designed multiple award-winning projects in institutional, residential, and commercial sectors. Brian holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on Water Resources from the University of Maryland and has pursued further education in Landscape Technology, Horticulture, and Landscape Design.

The Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission (M-NCPPC) is a bi-county agency empowered by the State of Maryland in 1927 to acquire, develop, maintain and administer a regional system of parks within Montgomery and Prince George's Counties, and to provide land use planning for the physical development of these counties. The agency gained responsibility for public recreation program in Prince George's County in 1970.
