Maryland National Guard
Samantha Lucas serves as the Company Commander for the Maryland National Guard since January 2023, leading a team of 60 Soldiers in a combat deployment to Iraq, managing tactical planning and executing 606 successful missions. Prior roles in the Maryland National Guard include Staff Logistics Officer from June 2016 to July 2022, overseeing logistical programs and collaborating on operational feasibility, and Platoon Leader, where training and administrative tasks were meticulously organized for 24 Soldiers. Additionally, Samantha gained experience as a Business Process Improvement Intern at Revision Military and an Analysis Intern at Delaware Investments, showcasing strong data management skills. Academic endeavors include tutoring at the University of Vermont, where a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration was earned, as well as serving as Trustee and AdvoCat, enhancing leadership and communication abilities. Early work experiences include roles in customer service and mentorship, reflecting a diverse skill set.
