April Martin

April Martin currently serves as the Executive Assistant to the Executive Vice President & Station Manager at Maryland Public Television since August 2023. Martin has extensive experience in various roles, including a Contract Consultant for Sisters One, Inc. since January 2013, specializing in religious clothing and supplies. Previous positions include Housing Coordinator at Catholic Charities, Development Officer II/Housing Navigator at the Maryland Department of Housing and Community Development, and Housing Counselor with the Northern Virginia Urban League Young Professionals Network, focusing on financial education around credit, money management, and homeownership. Martin founded and served as Executive Director of The Job Locator Network, overseeing strategic planning and human resources management. Additional roles span property management and community engagement, holding positions at Good Shepherd Housing & Family Services, NAACP (Fairfax County Branch), Fairfax Towers, and Windsor Communities. Martin holds an MPA in Public Administration and a BSBM in Business Management with a Marketing concentration, both from the University of Phoenix.
