Michelle Petties is an accomplished author, speaker, and food story coach with extensive experience in public radio and media. Currently serving as an author at Brand New Now Press, Michelle's memoir, "Leaving Large – The Stories of a Food Addict," won The 2022 Memoir Prize for Books. Additionally, Michelle holds positions as an Account Executive at YOUR PUBLIC RADIO HOLDING CORPORATION and at Maryland Public Television, where responsibilities include corporate sponsorships. As President and Executive Director of Reflective Public Radio Development, Michelle focuses on enhancing revenue for African American public radio stations. Previous roles include Director of Corporate Underwriting at Public Radio WEAA, Vice-President at Campbell & Company, and various account management positions in radio. Michelle Petties earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and Media Studies from The University of Texas at Arlington.
