Sue Kopen Katcef is an accomplished television news reporter currently contributing to Maryland Public Television's public affairs productions, including "State Circle." With a robust background in journalism, Katcef served as the National Vice President of Campus Chapter Affairs for the Society of Professional Journalists and held various positions at UMTV, including CNS TV Bureau Director and News Director. Additionally, Katcef has extensive teaching experience at the Philip Merrill College of Journalism, where the contributions include being Faculty Adviser for the Society of Professional Journalists Student Chapter and Senior Lecturer. Previous work includes significant roles at WBAL Radio, where numerous awards were earned for reporting, and earlier positions as a reporter and anchor at WCBM/Metromedia. Katcef holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism from the University of Maryland.
