Karen Via

Karen Via started their career in 2010 as an Early Childhood Educator at Baltimore Montessori Public Charter School. From 2013 to 2016, they worked as a Teacher at Lone Oak Montessori School. In 2016, they joined DC Public Schools as an Early Education Teacher. Since 2017, Karen has been with the Maryland Science Center, starting as a Supervisor of Group Programs and progressing to Education Programs Manager and then External Programs Manager. Currently, they hold the position of Director of Education at the Maryland Science Center.

Karen Via earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Digital Communication and Media/Multimedia from Towson University, where they studied from 2000 to 2004. In 2009, they pursued further education at Loyola University Maryland, obtaining a Master of Education (MEd) degree in Early Childhood Education and Teaching, which they completed in 2010.
