Sean Johnson

Sean Johnson is the Executive Director of the Maryland State Education Association, overseeing key legislative priorities and successfully mobilizing 75,000 members for significant policy victories, including the Blueprint for Maryland’s Future. Prior to this role, Sean served as the Assistant Executive Director for Political and Legislative Affairs and held various positions including Campaign Specialist at the National Education Association and Deputy Political Director for Hillary Clinton's presidential campaign, where responsibilities included managing political outreach across multiple states. Earlier, Sean was the Vice President at Mack Crounse Group, LLC, focusing on progressive communications strategies for diverse clients. Sean holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Virginia Commonwealth University.
