Stephanie Johns

Stephanie Johns (VanderVelden), MPA has a diverse work experience. Stephanie started their career in 2011 at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center as a Program Coordinator for the Hutch School. In this role, they were responsible for coordinating and organizing the office, managing day-to-day operations, and facilitating enrollment and withdrawal of students. Stephanie also handled various tasks such as ordering supplies, tracking invoices, payroll, maintaining the student database, managing donations, producing newsletters, maintaining the website, and organizing school events.

In 2018, Stephanie joined the City of Burien as a Human Services Commissioner. In this position, they contributed to the development and implementation of human services policies and programs for the city.

In the same year, Stephanie also started working at Mary's Place. Stephanie initially served as a Health Services Manager, and later advanced to the role of Health Services Administrative Director in November 2019. Stephanie Johns (VanderVelden), MPA received their Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from the University of Washington in 2009. Stephanie completed their education by obtaining a Master of Public Administration (MPA) degree in Public Administration from Seattle University in 2017.
