Griselda Guerra

Griselda Guerra has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Griselda began their career as a Peer Educator at Chicago Commons in 2001, where they conducted environmental assessments and provided case management services. Griselda then joined the Circuit Court of Cook County, Domestic Violence in 2017 as a Social Service Case Manager, responsible for intake and case management for domestic violence cases. Griselda worked at Family Focus, Inc. from 2004 to 2018 as a Project Manager, overseeing program development and acting as a liaison between sites and HR. Griselda later joined Heartland Alliance Human Care in 2018, where they performed home study interviews and made release recommendations for unaccompanied migrant minors. Griselda's most recent role is as a Program Director at Maryville since November 2020, where they conduct mental health assessments and provides individual and group therapy sessions for unaccompanied minors.

Griselda Guerra's education history spans from 1999 to 2023. Griselda attended Northwestern Business College from 1999 to 2002, where they studied Business Information Systems. From 2008 to 2014, they pursued an Associate of Arts and Sciences (AAS) degree in Public Officer at City Colleges of Chicago-Richard J Daley College. Griselda then went on to Northeastern Illinois University from 2015 to 2018, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Social Work. In 2018 and 2019, they attended Loyola University Chicago, obtaining a Master's degree in Social Work. Currently, Griselda is a PhD candidate in Community Psychology at National Louis University, a program they have been enrolled in since 2020.
