Dana Levin is a distinguished writer and educator with extensive experience in teaching creative writing. Since August 2015, Dana has served as Distinguished Writer in Residence at Maryville University, focusing on mentoring and teaching courses in creative writing. Previously, from August 2011 to July 2015, Dana held the position of Chair at Santa Fe University of Art and Design, overseeing program development and teaching a wide range of courses in creative writing and literature. Before that, Dana was the Russo Endowed Chair and Visiting Associate Professor in Creative Writing at the University of New Mexico from August 2009 to May 2011, and served as Chair and Tenured Associate Professor at the College of Santa Fe from August 1998 to May 2009. Dana's academic background includes degrees in English and Creative Writing from New York University and Pitzer College.
