Matt Harvey has an extensive work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Matt began their career in the financial sector, working as a Financial Business Analyst for the New Zealand Defence Force and the New Zealand Transport Agency. In 2011, they joined FMG (Farmers Mutual Group), where they held various leadership positions, including Head of Agribusiness Centre, Rural Segment Manager, Manager Risk Services, and Head of National Sales & Service Centre. During their tenure at FMG, they achieved significant growth in client acquisition and annual premium. In 2022, they became the Chief Marketing Officer at FMG before moving on to become the Chief Distribution & Marketing Officer at MAS - Medical Assurance Society in 2023.
