Daniel Spain has extensive work experience in the IT industry. Daniel currently serves as the Head of Infrastructure at Masabi since September 2019. Prior to that, they were the Head of Platform Engineering at Tessian from December 2017 to September 2019. Daniel also worked as a Linux System Administrator at Zopa for a brief period in 2017.
Before joining Zopa, Daniel held the position of Linux System Administrator at BrightTALK from June 2013 to September 2017. Daniel'searlier work experience includes working as a Linux Systems Engineer at Lipsync Post, where they primarily focused on infrastructure, deployment, and support of various operating systems.
In addition to their technical roles, Daniel has experience in recruitment and assessment as a Technical Consultant at Jenrick IT from June 2007 to October 2010. Daniel was responsible for sourcing suitable candidates for IT infrastructure support, developers, analysts, and DBAs.
During their spare time, Daniel ran their own consulting company named "Panda Arts" from 2004 to 2008, serving the SMB market. Daniel provided services such as IT support, database design and administration, PC maintenance, and graphical design.
Daniel started their career as a QA Tester at Electronic Arts from 2002 to 2004, where they conducted functional and non-functional tests on gaming software across multiple platforms. Daniel also worked briefly as a QA Technician at Sega in 2004.
Daniel Spain attended Brooklands from 1998 to 2000, where they pursued their A-Levels in Computing, Physics, and Electronics.
