James Henderson serves as an Associate Research Fellow at the Royal United Services Institute since December 2023 and has held multiple roles at the Oxford Institute for Energy Studies since November 2010, including Distinguished Research Fellow and Director of Energy Transition Research. In addition, James Henderson is the Director of the Natural Gas Programme at the University of Warwick and holds an Honorary Professorship there, along with positions as a Visiting Professor at the College of Europe in Natolin and Masaryk University. James Henderson's previous experience includes leadership roles in energy research at Lambert Energy Advisory, Renaissance Capital, Wood Mackenzie, and Hess Corporation. Education includes a PhD in Social Sciences focusing on Russian Energy from UCL and a degree in Classics, Philosophy, and Ancient History from the University of Oxford.
