Hubert Feyrer

Hubert Feyrer has a diverse background in cybersecurity and information management, currently serving in a Cyber Security role at Maschinenfabrik Reinhausen since November 2021. As a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the BSD Certification Group since December 2004, Hubert ensures the proper representation of NetBSD in certification exams. Co-founding pkgsrc at The NetBSD Foundation in 1993, Hubert has contributed significantly to package management, documentation, fundraising, and developer relations. Previous positions include Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) at Volkswagen Sachsen GmbH and AutoVision GmbH, alongside IT Manager roles at SSP Europe GmbH. Hubert has also taught as an adjunct teacher at Stevens Institute of Technology. Educational credentials include a Dr. phil. in Information Science from the University of Regensburg and a Dipl.-Inform. in Computer Science from Ostbayerische Technische Hochschule Regensburg.
