Thomas Merl

Thomas Merl is an experienced system architect currently employed at Maschinenfabrik Reinhausen since November 2025. Previously, Thomas held various positions at intive from January 2014 to November 2025, including solution architect, team leader for HMI, and senior engineer for software and systems, focusing on the development of HMI prototypes and Android automotive solutions. Prior to that, Thomas worked as a software engineer at BFFT GmbH from April 2011 to December 2013, specializing in user interface concepts in the automotive sector, and served as a test engineer at Valentum Consulting Group GmbH from September 2010 to April 2011. Thomas holds a Master’s degree in Practical Computer Science from FernUniversität in Hagen and a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechatronics, Robotics, and Automation Technology from Technische Hochschule Ulm.
