Bassem Farid

Bassem Farid has extensive experience in corporate real estate and project management, currently serving as the Head of Corporate Real Estate and Administration Services at Mashreq Bank since August 2006. Responsibilities include property and facility management, asset management, project management for construction and commercial fit-out projects, and ensuring environmental sustainability and health, safety, and security compliance. Prior to this role, Bassem worked at Citi from March 2000 to June 2006 as the Regional Property Manager for the Middle East, Pakistan, and North Africa, overseeing all aspects of bank properties in the region. Bassem's career began at Orascom Construction, where Bassem held the position of Technical Office Manager and Project Manager from August 1993 to February 2000, managing USAID projects. Educational background includes a Bachelor's degree in Architectural Engineering from Cairo University and a high school diploma from Collège de la Sainte Famille.
