Charan Kumar

Charan Kumar is a seasoned finance professional with extensive experience in debt capital markets (DCM) and investment banking. Currently serving as a Director at Mashreq since October 2021, Charan is responsible for originating and executing DCM mandates, organizing roadshows for issuers, providing rating advisory, and collaborating with legal teams on documentation. Previously, Charan held the position of Associate Director DCM at Mashreq, leading multiple successful deals valued at over USD 25 billion. Charan's career also includes roles at Mashreq Bank, YES BANK, ICICI Bank, and BNP Paribas, with a strong track record in closing significant syndicated loans and maintaining relationships across various financial sectors. Educational qualifications include a Post Graduate Diploma in Finance from the Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta, and a Bachelor's degree in Electronics and Communication from Anna University Chennai.
