Karim Mohamed

Karim Mohamed is an experienced professional in retail credit risk management, currently serving as the SVP and Country Head of Retail Credit Risk Management at Mashreq since May 2018. With a background that includes roles as VP for Egypt Retail Credit Management and Deputy CRO for Risk Management Functions, Karim oversees various aspects of retail risk including policy development, credit assessment, quality assurance, fraud applications, and risk analytics. Prior to joining Mashreq, Karim held management positions at Al Ahli Bank of Kuwait and Piraeus Bank, focusing on retail credit policy, collections, and product development. Karim began the career at Barclays Bank, progressing through roles in retail collections. Karim holds a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from the Faculty of English Commerce, completed in 2007.
