John Taylor

John Taylor serves as the Manager of the Division of Emergency Management for Parks & Trails at Mason County WA since February 2022, overseeing emergency functions and the management of 21 County Parks and various trails. Taylor has extensive experience in emergency management, previously holding the position of Director of Emergency Management with the Squaxin Island Tribe from 2005 to 2022, where responsibilities included national certification in incident command and finance. As a co-founder of the Tribal Emergency Management Association, Taylor contributed to strategic policy development and also served as Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operations Officer in earlier roles for the association. Additional experience includes managing Homeland Security programs for WA State, with leadership roles in budgeting and program coordination. Academic qualifications include a Doctor of Education and a Master of Philosophy in Public Policy, along with an MBA and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration.
