Yan Sun is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Masonic Medical Research Institute (MMRI) since September 2018, specializing in the molecular signaling pathways related to diabetic cardiomyopathy. Utilizing advanced techniques such as metabolomics, proteomics, and RNA sequencing, Yan Sun aims to identify novel factors secreted by the heart that influence whole-body metabolism. Previously, Yan Sun worked as a Research Assistant at Pfizer from April 2018 to July 2018, where responsibilities included researching market trends and developing marketing strategies to communicate the value of Pfizer's products to healthcare providers. Yan Sun earned a Doctor of Philosophy in Molecular Biology and RNA editing from Peking University, completing the degree in July 2018.
