Alexis Neeson has a diverse work experience in the banking sector. From 2000 to 2014, Neeson worked at DZ BANK Ireland in roles such as Risk Controller and Trainee Accountant. In 2014, Neeson joined Al Khalij Commercial Bank (al khaliji) P.Q.S.C. as the Head of Enterprise Risk Management, responsible for risk models, measurement, governance, strategy, and policies. Neeson then became the Acting Group Chief Risk Officer and later the Group Chief Risk Officer. In 2021, Neeson moved to Masraf Al Rayan as the Head of Operational & Enterprise Risk, and eventually took on the role of Group Chief Risk Officer.

Alexis Neeson began their education at Blackrock College from 1989 to 1995, where they obtained their Leaving Cert / High School Diploma. Alexis then attended Trinity College Dublin from 1995 to 1999, where they earned a BA degree in European Studies. Alexis pursued further education at Dublin Business School from 2001 to 2003, achieving an ACCA degree in Accounting. In 1999, they attended the Smurfit Graduate School of Business, UCD, earning a H.Dip degree in Business. Later, from 2008 to 2010, Alexis completed an Executive MBA in Business at University College Dublin.
