Katherine Stevens

Katherine Stevens serves as the Director of Grants at Mass Humanities since October 2018, bringing extensive experience in academia and research. Previously, Katherine was an Assistant Professor of History at Oglethorpe University from August 2015 to October 2018, where Katherine designed and taught a variety of courses, reaching numerous students. Katherine's role as a Lecturer at Harvard University included teaching writing-intensive seminars and mentoring honors students. Katherine has also contributed to historical research and public history projects, notably as a Research Consultant for the Middle Passage Ceremonies and Port Markers Project and as Co-Director of the Harvard and Slavery Project. Katherine holds a PhD in American History from Harvard University and a Bachelor's degree in History and American Studies from Washington University in St. Louis.
