Denise I. Murphy

President Elect at Massachusetts Bar Association

Denise I. Murphy has a diverse and extensive work experience. Denise I. has served as the Co-Chair of the Supreme Judicial Court Standing Committee On Attorney Well-Being since January 2019. Prior to that, they held various positions at the Massachusetts Bar Association, including President Elect, Vice President, and Secretary/Officer. Denise I. was also a member of the Executive Management Board. From 2003, they worked as an Equity Partner in Employment Law at Rubin and Rudman, LLP, where they advised companies on compliance with employment laws and defended them in enforcement agencies and courts. Denise I. has been involved in multiple roles within the Massachusetts Bar Association, Mass Defense Lawyers Association, Massachusetts Defense Lawyers Association, and Massachusetts Super Lawyers. Additionally, they served as a Member of the Town of Westwood Finance Commission and was a Past Member of the Board of Editors at Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly. Denise I. has been a member of the Woman's Bar Association since 1987.

Denise I. Murphy pursued their higher education starting in 1976 at UMass Boston, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Sociology. Denise I. completed their undergraduate studies in 1980. Following this, Denise I. Murphy attended Suffolk University Law School from 1985 to 1988 to earn their Juris Doctorate degree in Law.
