Ben Silverstein is currently serving as an Analyst III at Toole Design Group since September 2022. Previously, Ben worked as a Graduate Student Researcher at the UCLA Institute of Transportation Studies from January 2021 to June 2022, focusing on global street network connectivity and bike and pedestrian mode shares through OpenStreetMap data. Additional experience includes a role as a Rail & Transit Intern at MassDOT in the summer of 2021 and various positions at McKinsey & Company from October 2014 to September 2020, where Ben advanced from Junior Analyst to Senior Analyst specializing in geospatial analytics. Earlier experience includes working as a GIS Coordinator at the Northeast States Emergency Consortium and a Communications Intern at the Boston Redevelopment Authority. Ben holds a Master of Urban and Regional Planning with a concentration in Transportation Policy and Planning from UCLA Luskin School of Public Affairs and a B.A. in Architectural Studies from Tufts University. Additional training includes coursework at the FEMA Emergency Management Institute.
