David Carney

David Carney has extensive experience in transportation planning and operations, currently serving as Chief of Service Delivery at MBTA since December 1995, where David has also held roles as Chief of Transit Services and Assistant General Manager of Bus Operations. Prior experience includes serving as a Transportation Planner/Analyst at the Massachusetts Highway Department and Director of Sidewalk Programs at the New York City Department of Transportation. Additionally, David was a Senior Transportation Planner at the Central Massachusetts Regional Planning Commission. Educational qualifications include a Master of Public Administration with a focus on Non-Profit/Public/Organizational Management from NYU Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service, and a Bachelor of Arts in Geography/Urban Planning from Clark University.
