Jay Jackson, PE, is an accomplished transportation engineering professional with extensive experience in transit signal priority systems and traffic engineering. Currently serving as the Transit Signal Priority Sr Technical Manager at MBTA since February 2020, Jay leads efforts to implement scalable signal priority systems across over 50 communities. Previous positions include Transit Signal Priority Manager at GPI, Traffic Engineer, and Transportation Engineer I at HNTB, where Jay collaborated with various departments to enhance transportation projects. An MS graduate in Civil Engineering with a focus on Transportation from Northeastern University, Jay also holds an MBA-like credential in Business and Entrepreneurship from Coursera and an MS in Earth and Atmospheric Sciences from the Georgia Institute of Technology. Jay's foundational experience includes roles in transportation planning and project management, alongside early entrepreneurial ventures.
